Zoujaj expands scope of Furnace reconstruction project

Riyadh – Mubasher: National Company for Glass Industries (Zoujaj) has expanded its project to reconstruct and expand Furnace 01, according to a bourse filing.

The company has integrated the modernization and rehabilitation of production lines into the existing project framework to maximize production capacity and operational efficiency.

The total cost for the furnace expansion and reconstruction was initially set at SAR 58.50 million.

Following the inclusion of production line upgrades, which carry an additional cost of SAR 61.40 million, the total project investment has risen to SAR 119.90 million. This strategic adjustment aims to ensure that production lines are fully prepared to operate alongside the new furnace at peak capacity.

The project update follows an initial board approval disclosed on 22 April 2025.

Zoujaj confirmed that the implementation phase remains on schedule to begin during the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2026, as previously announced.

The company stated that these developments are part of its ongoing efforts to restructure its industrial operations and meet evolving market demand.

In May, the listed firm appointed Omar Riyadh Al Humaidan as the Chairman and Badr Hamed Al Aujan as the Vice Chairman of the board.
