Riyadh – Mubasher: The net profits of Mobile Telecommunication Company Saudi Arabia (Zain KSA) climbed by 45.04% to SAR 541 million in the first nine months (9M) of 2026 from SAR 373 million in 9M-25.
The group attributed the growth to an improved revenue mix and a SAR 127 million non-recurring gain from the Universal Service Fund.
For the third quarter (Q3) of 2026, net profit declined by 9.80% to SAR 138 million from SAR 153 million in Q3-25. Revenues increased by 3.01% to SAR 2.83 billion, driven by growth in the individual 5G and wholesale sectors. However, higher seasonal marketing expenses and operating costs from newly acquired subsidiaries pressured the bottom line.
Operating profit for the nine-month period rose by 1.78% to SAR 913 million. Zain KSA noted that finance costs decreased by SAR 38 million, or 7%, due to improved debt costs.
Total equity stood at SAR 10.96 billion as of 30 September 2026, while earnings per share (EPS) improved to SAR 0.60 from SAR 0.41 in the previous year.
Capital expenditure totaled SAR 542 million to support network expansion.
At the end of June 2026, Zain KSA’s net profits climbed by 84.09% to SAR 405 million from SAR 220 million in the first half (H1) of 2025.
