Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Exchange (Tadawul) has announced a series of significant updates regarding several listed government debt instruments following a formal request submitted by the Ministry of Finance.
The adjustments involve the modification of the total issuance values for twelve distinct debt instruments and the scheduled delisting of one specific issuance.
According to the official statement from Tadawul, the adjustments to the total issuance values span a variety of debt instruments issued between 2017 and 2022.
The most substantial change in terms of total volume pertains to Issuance number 2019-10-10, identified by Tadawul Code 5282, which has been updated to reach a total value of SAR 21.15 billion. This represents the largest single instrument among those affected by the recent notification.
Other significant adjustments include Issuance number 2022-06-08 (Tadawul Code 5325), which now reaches a total value of SAR 9.71 billion.
This is in addition to Issuance number 2017-07-10 (Tadawul Code 5245), which has been adjusted to SAR 3.21 billion.
Additionally, Issuance number 2018-07-10 (Tadawul Code 5270) has been updated to a total of SAR 3.19 billion.
The announcement also detailed modifications for several other instruments with varying total values. Issuance number 2018-10-10 (Tadawul Code 5273) was adjusted to SAR 1.48 billion, while Issuance number 2022-03-05 (Tadawul Code 5320) now stands at SAR 1.28 billion.
Furthermore, Issuance number 2020-01-07 (Tadawul Code 5283) has been set at SAR 1.13 billion.
Smaller scale adjustments were noted for Issuance number 2018-04-10 (Tadawul Code 5267), reaching SAR 940.29 million. In addition, Issuance number 2018-01-10 (Tadawul Code 5264) totaled SAR 787 million.
Moreover, Issuance number 2017-10-10 (Tadawul Code 5254) was updated to SAR 750 million while Issuance number 2017-09-10 (Tadawul Code 5251) and Issuance number 2020-07-07 (Tadawul Code 5297) were adjusted to SAR 334.59 million and SAR 173.80 million, respectively.
Delisting Schedule
In addition to the value modifications, Tadawul provided a timeline for the delisting of one specific instrument.
Issuance number 2017-08-10, which carries Tadawul Code 5248, is scheduled to be removed from the exchange’s listing. The delisting process for this instrument will be finalized by the end of the trading session on 20 July 2026.
These administrative changes are conducted in coordination with the Ministry of Finance to ensure the accuracy of the public debt registry and the transparency of the capital markets.
Tadawul remains the primary venue for the trading and reporting of these sovereign instruments, providing investors with updated data regarding the size and status of government-backed debt.
The modifications are effective as per the exchange's regulatory protocols following the Ministry's request.
These changes reflect the ongoing management of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s sovereign debt portfolio and the administrative alignment of listed securities on the Tadawul platform.
