Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Sukuk and Bonds market index concluded Sunday's session with a marginal decline of 0.04%, closing at 5,010.5 points.
Trading activity was characterized by a cautious tone as 14 instruments declined compared to gains in only 4 issues, while Al Rajhi Bank perpetual sukuk dominated the majority of the day's liquidity.
The Saudi Sukuk and Bonds Index shed 1.88 points during the first session of the week to settle at the 5,010.5 level. Market participation remained concentrated, with total traded value reaching SAR 11.66M across 11,589,000 units. Out of the total listed instruments, 45 remained unchanged, reflecting a period of price stability for the bulk of the sovereign and corporate debt market.
In terms of individual performance, IOUD SUKUK 05/2031 led the gainers with a 0.50% increase to SAR 100.5, followed by RAYA SUKUK PREP which rose 0.20% to SAR 103. ALRAJHI SUKUK PERP (1113) and KSA Sukuk 2020-07-15 both recorded modest gains of 0.03%.
Conversely, RAWASI SUKUK 03/2030 was the session's steepest decliner, falling 2.30% to SAR 97.7. Other notable losses included AQASEEM SUKUK 05/2030, which dropped 1.52% to SAR 97, and ALKATHIRI SUKUK 03/2028, which retreated 1.29% to SAR 76.
SAUDI GERMAN HEALTH SUKUK 03/2029 (5019) also faced downward pressure, closing 0.97% lower at SAR 100.02.
Liquidity and volume were heavily skewed toward ALRAJHI SUKUK PERP, which accounted for SAR 9.46M of the total turnover, representing approximately 81% of the session's total value.
KSA Sukuk 2024-04-07 followed in activity with SAR 910,000 in trades, despite a slight price dip of 0.02%.
Other active instruments included KSA Sukuk 2020-07-15 and CENOMI CENTERS SUKUK 11/2031, both recording turnover of SAR 160,000.
The sovereign segment saw mixed results among KSA Sukuk issues. While the 2020-07-15 series edged up, several others including the 2026-01-15, 2018-10-10, and 2018-01-10 series recorded minor fractional declines ranging between -0.04% and -0.08%.
