SMC Healthcare rolls out deal to operate SABIC Specialist Hospital

Riyadh – Mubasher: Specialized Medical Company (SMC Healthcare) signed a contract with the Saudi Ministry of Health to manage and operate the SABIC Specialist Hospital for Behavioral Care.

The agreement follows an initial award notice received by the company’s subsidiary, Al Mukhtas Health Medical, on 18 June 2026, according to a discourse.

The project marks a strategic entry for the company into the behavioral and psychiatric healthcare sector. The financial impact of the contract is expected to appear on the company’s financial statements during the second quarter (Q2) of 2027, coinciding with the commencement of actual operations.

The company stated that the contract supports its long-term growth trajectory and revenue diversification goals. The initiative aligns with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which seeks to expand private sector participation in the national healthcare system and enhance the quality of specialized medical services across the Kingdom.
