SAPTCO generates 521% jump in 9M-26 net profit; revenue hits SAR 1.3bn

Riyadh — Mubasher: Saudi Public Transport Company (SAPTCO) reported a net profit of SAR 81.45 million for the nine-month period that ended on 30 September 2026, which reflected a 520.73% surge from the SAR 13.12 million recorded in 9M-25.

SAPTCO attributed the net income growth in January-September 2026 to higher operational rates for transport services and a reduction in selling and distribution expenses.

Total revenue rose by 13.82% to SAR 1.38 billion in 9M-26. Earnings per share (EPS) improved to SAR 0.65 from SAR 0.10 in the prior year.

Operating profit for the same period more than doubled to SAR 208.93 million.

The company also noted that its accumulated losses decreased to SAR 191.68 million as of 30 September 2026, which accounted for 15.33% of its SAR 1.25 billion capital.

For the third quarter(Q3) of 2026, net profits reached SAR 10.41 million, marking a leap of 380.83% compared to SAR 2.17 million in Q3-25.

Quarterly revenue climbed by 30.84% to SAR 476.94 million in July-September 2026 from SAR 364.51 million a year earlier.

However, net profit declined by 84.15% on a sequential basis from Q2-26, which the company linked to the inclusion of Hajj season revenues in the previous period.
