SAL Logistics pens MoUs with CIMC to strengthen logistics cooperation

Riyadh — Mubasher: SAL Logistics Services Company has signed two memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with CIMC’s MENA Regional Headquarters to boost partnership in logistics solutions and infrastructure, logistics zone development, and attract Chinese companies and investments to Saudi Arabia.

The agreements were signed through SAL Logistics and its subsidiary SAL Zones, and aim to leverage CIMC’s global expertise in industrial and logistics solutions, including infrastructure development, cargo handling systems, transportation, and related technologies.

Under the MoU with SAL Logistics, the two parties will explore cooperation in cargo handling systems, automation, robotics, autonomous vehicles, and cargo handling and transportation equipment.

They will also assess the potential establishment of a logistics hub for CIMC Group and its subsidiaries in Saudi Arabia to support assembly, manufacturing, and distribution activities, while meeting growing local demand and facilitating CIMC’s expansion in the Kingdom and the wider region.

Meanwhile, the MoU with SAL Zones covers opportunities to develop facilities and warehouses within the SAL Logistics Zone in Riyadh, attract Chinese companies and customers to the zone, and identify potential investment opportunities and joint projects aimed at strengthening trade and business ties between Saudi Arabia and China.

The agreements are part of SAL Logistics Services’ efforts to expand international partnerships, attract foreign investment, and develop an integrated logistics ecosystem in the Kingdom, supporting Saudi Arabia’s ambitions to become a global logistics hub in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

Earlier this month, the Saudi group penned an MoU with Huawei Tech Investment Saudi Arabia to enhance collaboration across transportation, logistics, and digital transformation.
