Riyadh - Mubasher: Makkah Construction and Development Company posted a net profit of SAR 334.80 million in the first half (H1) of 2026, an annual leap of 13.76% when compared to SAR 294.30 million.
The company’s revenue for the half-year period surged by 52.69% to SAR 952.30 million from SAR 623.70 million a year earlier, according to a bourse disclosure.
The company attributed the growth primarily to the timing of the Hajj season, which saw the majority of its seasonal revenues recognized in H1-26.
Performance was further bolstered by the hotel and towers segment, where revenues rose to SAR 314 million amid higher demand for Umrah services.
Average room rates increased to SAR 1,261 while occupancy reached 85%. Additionally, the commercial center segment saw revenues grow 22% to SAR 167 million due to higher leasing rates and expanded rental space.
For the second quarter (Q2) of 2026, net profit reached SAR 172.60 million, an increase of 19.69% from SAR 144.20 million in the prior-year quarter.
Quarterly revenue climbed by 80.60% to SAR 700.90 million. Earnings per share (EPS) for the six-month period stood at SAR 1.67, compared to SAR 1.47 in the previous year.
In Q1-26, the group’s net profits jumped by 8.06% YoY to SAR 162.20 million from SAR 150.10 million.
