Ladun Investment’s net losses leap 614% in Q1-26

Riyadh – Mubasher: Ladun Investment Company incurred a net loss of SAR 39.77 million for the first quarter (Q1) of 2026, representing a 614.22% leap when compared to the SAR 5.57 million loss in Q1-25.

The company attributed the widening loss to a sharp decline in revenues alongside sustained financing and general costs, according to a bourse filing.

Quarterly revenue fell by 49.81% to SAR 163.28 million from SAR 325.36 million in the prior-year period.

The company stated that real estate development income dropped by SAR 145 million following the completion and handover of off-plan sale projects.

Additionally, industrial sector revenues decreased by 40% due to the completion of three major projects at the Amaala Red Sea site.

The contracting sector provided a partial offset, growing 11% due to increased completion rates on existing projects. However, the company still recorded an operating loss of SAR 15.20 million for the quarter, compared to an operating profit of SAR 16.57 million a year earlier.

Total shareholders' equity stood at SAR 539.16 million, down 13.95% from SAR 626.60 million.

Loss per share for the period reached SAR 0.08, versus SAR 0.01 in the first quarter of the previous year.

In June, the company signed a framework agreement with the Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites to develop the Al Khalidiyah informal area in Makkah.
