Herfy returns to quarterly profits despite lower sales in H1-26

Riyadh – Mubasher: Herfy Food Services Company registered net profits SAR 2.96 million for the second quarter ending 30 June 2026, representing a 229.29% increase compared to SAR 899,934 in the same period last year.

The quarterly performance marks a reversal from the previous quarter’s net loss of SAR 3.91 million.

The company achieved this bottom-line growth despite a 6.71% decline in quarterly revenue, which fell to SAR 265.46 million from SAR 284.56 million a year earlier.

Herfy attributed the profit increase to lower selling and distribution expenses, reduced financing costs, and a decrease in provisions for expected credit losses on financial assets. These factors offset a rise in general and administrative expenses and higher Zakat charges.

For the first six months (6M) of 2026, the company narrowed its net loss to SAR 944,469, reflecting a 94.66% improvement from the SAR 17.70 million loss recorded in the first half of 2025.

Half-year sales reached SAR 515.60 million, down from SAR 553.11 million in the prior-year period.

Operating profit for the six-month period stood at SAR 15.19 million, compared to an operating loss of SAR 335,306 previously. Total shareholders' equity was reported at SAR 848.28 million.

As of 31 March 2026, the company’s net losses attributable shrank by 78.98% YoY to SAR 3.90 million from SAR 18.59 million.
