Riyadh - Mubasher: Gulf Insurance Group (GIG) recorded a net profit after Zakat and tax of SAR 101.70 million for the first nine months (9M) of 2026, an annual rise of 6.30% from SAR 95.67 million.
The growth was supported by a 32.43% rise in insurance revenues to SAR 1.47 billion, driven by the motor and property and casualty sectors.
Earnings per share (EPS) for the nine months hit SAR 1.94 in 9M-26, up from SAR 1.82 a year earlier. Total shareholders' equity climbed by 3.40% year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 1.21 billion.
For the third quarter (Q3) of 2026, the company’s net profit fell by 44.16% YoY to SAR 19.23 million from SAR 34.43 million.
The decline was primarily attributed to a 68.40% drop in net investment income, which fell to SAR 9.05 million due to unrealized losses from market revaluations.
Insurance service results for the quarter also decreased by 16.28% to SAR 69.94 million as higher service expenses offset revenue gains.
Total comprehensive income for the nine-month period dropped by 51.62% to SAR 67.34 million. Gross written premiums for the period reached SAR 2.05 billion, a 66% increase compared to the previous year.
At the end of June 2026, GIG’s net profits hiked by 34.68% YoY to SAR 82.47 million from SAR 61.23 million.
