Riyadh — Mubasher: Foods Gate Trading Company has commenced procedures to move its Tokyo restaurant branch in Jeddah to an alternative location.
The decision follows the suspension of essential services at the commercial complex where the branch is currently situated, which has rendered continued operations at the site impossible.
Foods Gate stated that the specific details regarding the new location and any further material developments will be disclosed at a later time.
Regarding the financial impact of the move, the company expects the results to be reflected in its financial statements for the second half (H2) of 2026.
Management noted that it is currently difficult to reliably determine the exact magnitude of this financial impact. The relocation aims to ensure business continuity following the infrastructure issues at the original premises.
In H1-26, the company’s net profits fell by 11.27% to SAR 3.50 million from SAR 3.95 million a year earlier.
