Deutsche Bank expands Middle East presence with Riyadh RHQ

Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Deutsche Bank received a Regional Headquarters (RHQ) license from Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Investment (MISA), reinforcing its long-term commitment to the Kingdom and expanding its presence across the Middle East.

As per the official press release, the new regional headquarters will be based in Riyadh and will serve as the bank's hub for regional management, strategic decision-making, and corporate functions. It will support Deutsche Bank's operations across corporate banking, investment banking and wealth management while aligning with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 goal of becoming a leading regional financial center.

The announcement coincides with Deutsche Bank's 20th anniversary in Saudi Arabia. The bank established its Riyadh branch in 2006 under a full commercial banking license regulated by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA), followed by the launch of Deutsche Securities Saudi Arabia in 2007, regulated by the Capital Market Authority (CMA).

The RHQ will become Deutsche Bank's third legal entity in the Kingdom. On this occasion, Jamal Al Kishi, CEO for the Middle East and Africa, said the license strengthens the bank's regional growth strategy and enhances its ability to connect Saudi clients with global markets while supporting foreign direct investment into the Kingdom.
