Riyadh - Mubasher: The Capital Market Authority (CMA) has issued a board resolution approving the registration of Kreston NBB for Professional Consulting to conduct auditing services for entities under its supervision.
The approval allows the firm to operate within the framework of the Capital Market Law, though it must satisfy specific conditions and restrictions before commencing audits for listed companies and real estate investment traded funds (REITs).
The inclusion of the new firm increases the total number of registered accounting offices in the Saudi market to 17.
Additionally, the number of certified public accountants registered with the CMA has reached 58. This move aligns with the regulator’s objective to enhance transparency and disclosure, ensuring that financial statements remain a reliable tool for investors to make informed decisions.
The CMA previously updated its rules for registering auditors in 2022, building upon the original regulations issued in 2018.
These amendments were designed to streamline registration procedures and improve the quality of financial reporting for entities subject to the authority's oversight.
