Riyadh – Mubasher: Mohammed Hasan Al Naqool Sons Company unveiled that it has reached a 55% completion rate for its new concrete factory project located in the Third Industrial City in Dammam, according to a bourse disclosure.
The project is being developed on an 8,978.07 square meter land plot leased from the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON) for a duration of 10 years.
Al Naqool confirmed that several major phases have been finalized, with current work focused on equipment installation and mechanical and electrical systems.
Despite the progress, the expected timeline for trial and commercial operations has been adjusted to the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2026.
Management attributed the revised schedule to delays in obtaining regulatory licenses and approvals, alongside logistical challenges affecting the arrival of key production line equipment due to regional shipping disruptions.
Additionally, construction and installation phases required more time than originally planned to ensure technical specifications were met.
The company stated there has been no increase in the project cost.
It is worth noting that the original board approval for the facility was granted on 20 May 2025.
Earlier in 2026, Al Naqool acquired 12 specialized heavy vehicles from SANY Group to boost production and sales capacity within the concrete division.
