Riyadh – Mubasher: National Gas and Industrialization Company (GASCO), listed on Saudi Exchange under the name Alghaz Waltsnae Company Eligibility Alqabida, announced that its board of directors decided to appoint Fahad Salem Al Matrafi in several positions.
Upon a resolution passed on 8 July 2026, Al Matrafi is primarily joining GASCO as the Chairman of the Board, according to a bourse filing.
Al Matrafi, who serves as a non-executive member, will also hold the position of Chairman of the Executive and Investment Committee.
The newly appointed official will also serve as a member of the Remuneration and Nominations Committee.
The appointment follows a previous disclosure on 9 July 2026 regarding the filling of a vacant seat on the board of directors.
These leadership changes are intended to complete the current board term, which is scheduled to conclude on 28 November 2029.
The decision aligns with the company's governance framework for managing its executive and board-level oversight committees during the remaining period of the existing cycle.
It is worth noting that the vacant board seat was initially announced after the passing of the former Chairman Abdulaziz bin Fahd Al Khayal.
