ASG Plastic to discuss doubling capital recommendation at EGM next month

Riyadh — Mubasher: ASG Plastic Factory Company has invited its shareholders to an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) scheduled for 9 August 2026 to vote on a board recommendation for a 100% capital hike.

The proposed transaction will double the capital from SAR 70.50 million to SAR 141 million, according to a bourse filing.

The capital hike will be executed through the issuance of one bonus share for every one existing share held by shareholders.

Under the plan, the total number of shares will increase from 7.05 million to 14.10 million shares. The company stated that the increase aims to support its growth strategy, business expansion, and financial stability.

The expansion will be funded by capitalizing SAR 23.90 million from the statutory reserve and SAR 46.60 million from retained earnings.

Eligibility for the bonus shares will be for shareholders owning stock on the day of the meeting, 9 August 2026, and registered with the Securities Depository Center (Edaa) by the end of the second trading day following the eligibility date.

In the event of fractional shares, the company will aggregate them into a single portfolio for sale at market price, with proceeds distributed within 30 days.

Earlier in June, the Saudi Capital Market Authority (CMA) ratified ASG Plastic’s request to double the capital.
