Cairo - Mubasher: Qalaa for Financial Investments (Qalaa Holdings) shifted to consolidated net losses after tax worth EGP 5.40 billion in the first half (H1) of 2025, against net profits after tax of EGP 8.20 billion in H1-24.
The basic and diluted loss per share reached EGP 0.70 in H1-25, compared with an earnings per share (EPS) of EGP 3.22 in H1-24, according to the financial results.
Consolidated revenues fell year-on-year (YoY) to EGP 62.29 billion in January-June 2025 from EGP 75.74 billion.
Furthermore, the total assets stood at EGP 212.43 billion in the six-month period that ended on 30 June 2025, compared with EGP 228.45 billion as of 31 December 2024.
Standalone Results for H1-25
The EGX-listed company registered EGP 372.09 million in non-consolidated net profits after tax during H1-25, versus net losses after tax of EGP 572.87 million in H1-24.
The basic and diluted EPS totaled EGP 0.20 in the six-month period that ended on 30 June 2025, against a loss per share of EGP 0.31 in H1-24.
Standalone total assets grew to EGP 18.41 billion as of 30 June 2025 from EGP 17.86 billion in 2024.
Income Statements for Q2-25
During the second quarter (Q2) of 2025, Qalaa Holdings registered YoY higher consolidated net losses after tax at EGP 4.48 billion, compared to EGP 942.14 million.
The consolidated revenues dropped to EGP 25.05 billion in Q2-25 from EGP 38.17 billion in Q2-24, whereas the basic and diluted loss per share declined to EGP 0.68 from EGP 0.74.
As for the standalone results, the company swung to net profits after tax of EGP 806.95 million in Q2-25, compared with net losses after tax worth EGP 932.96 million in Q2-24.
The basic and diluted EPS amounted to EGP 0.44 in April-June 2025, compared with a loss per share of EGP 0.51 in the same period a year ago.
During the first quarter (Q1) of 2025, Qalaa Holdings shifted to consolidated net losses of EGP 43 million, while the revenue remained largely stable at EGP 37.20 billion.
